In 2009, an idea turned into a conversation, which led to a few meetings, where a company with a mission was born: “To create an environment through which supply chain partners can connect, share, sustain, succeed and thrive.”
We wanted to do that better than anyone else.
We wanted to offer a different supply chain alliance.
We wanted to create a truly unique group environment.
We wanted to be about people, create and build friendships.
We wanted to be inclusive.
We wanted to have some fun again.
So, in August of that year, Legacy began assembling a team of passionate foodservice professionals with decades of experience, and hit the ground running to build the Distributor Group of the future – Legacy Foodservice Alliance.
A few months later, at the end of 2009, Legacy was comprised of just seven Distributor Members and 31 Supplier Members.
Today, Legacy’s diverse membership is comprised of Independent Foodservice Distributor Members across North America, Central America, Bermuda, and the Caribbean. Combined with the best national brands from Supplier Members located around the world – bringing global products to local markets.
Our singular focus is to foster success for each Member and their customers by combining today’s technology, industry best practices, and high touch customer service.
