Legacy wades into virtual world for fall event

Richmond based Legacy Foodservice Alliance Distributor and Supplier Members made their first foray into the digital world by participating in the virtual Fall Marketplace October 19-21.  The Marketplace is Legacy’s buying and business conference that takes place in the Spring and Fall of each year.

 

While being a new opportunity for Legacy Members to participate in a digital format, attendees took to the platform like a duck to water—swimmingly. Legacy was thrilled to report record numbers of attendees both on the Distribution and Supply sides, along with records for total number of appointments held. The digital format allowed an influx of first-time attendees to make an appearance and encouraged associates at all levels of both Distributor and Supplier Member organizations to come out and show their support.

 

Legacy also hosted the Leadership Series, an executive-level training program typically held in-person at the Fall Marketplaces, with dynamic speakers providing high level content on the state of the foodservice industry and the view ahead. These daily meetings lead directly into scheduled appointments between Distributor and Supplier Members and concluded with a daily wrap-up meeting.

 

“We are excited to share this fresh take on the traditional live booth format of Marketplaces past. A digital platform brings new offerings to more Legacy Members than is possible in-person.
