Supply Chain Alliance Announces Leadership Team Changes
Legacy Foodservice Alliance is excited to announce that industry veteran Chip Spraggins has joined the organization in the role of Vice President of Supply Chain. Spraggins will be taking the helm of the Supply Chain effort from another industry veteran, Legacy Vice President of Purchasing and Category Management, Bob Staples. Staples will be retiring from the day-to-day leadership of the Team after a many decades-long run in the food industry, including retail merchandising, foodservice distribution, and the group industry. He will stay on with Legacy, supporting the transition, until later this year.
Spraggins has also enjoyed a very successful career in senior positions with suppliers, distribution, and in the group industry, and has previously worked as a consultant with Legacy. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia Commerce School. In his new role, Spraggins will help coordinate all supply chain efforts, including programming, procurement, category management, brand development, and marketing.
“We’re very fortunate to have reconnected with someone possessing Chip’s unique experience and skill set,” commented Legacy CEO Steve Push. “His broad experience with Suppliers, Distributors, and the Groups, and his deep understanding of that dynamic place him in the perfect position to deliver maximum value to Legacy Distributor and Supplier Members. We’re thrilled he has joined The Team.”
